Failure to plan is planning to fail.
I had work all day then had a two hour workout afterwards, got home and began meal prepping at 9pm and didn’t finish till 12:30am. Tired? EXTREMELY! Proud of myself? Very much. I could have easily said I’m tired from work and working out but I knew that I owed it to myself to prepare my meals. Progress happens when you stop making excuses and start making changes. The cleaning of items, cutting, prepping, cooking, additional cutting, weighing/measuring, plating and dish washing really adds up in time! But it was only a few hours of ONE night, now I am prepared for the next couple off days :) When it comes down to it, it is all about heart and dedication. How bad do you really want it? Is this just a fad or are you really trying to make it your lifestyle? You can make the change for a healthier life, all you have to do is try and stay dedicated.
Health and fitness isn’t just about looking good or taking pretty pictures. It is much more than that. It is about bettering your health for the long run. When we are in our 60’s, we probably are going to care less about how we look, we most likely will just want to be able to be active, play with our grandchildren and live as long as we can without illnesses. I hope everyone thinks about these long term goals as well as your current goals of getting into shape. Our parents didn’t have as much information as we do now and it’s our responsibility to learn as much as we can to pass it on to our future.
Eat smarter, be active. Your health is in your control :)
